All Dead Rails Class Tier List

I know this Dead Rails class tier list might stir some debate, but hear me out. The Vampire remains a top pick, even after numerous updates, while the Survivalist has surged ahead recently. I'm still baffled by the Zombie class, which remains underpowered and unable to use Snake Oil. Teamwork plays a role, but let's focus primarily on individual class strengths. Remember, it's about having fun with friends, not just min-maxing every detail.

In the top tier, it's all about sheer damage output. The Survivalist and Vampire stand out as the best of the best. While Ironclad has its merits, these two classes are unmatched:

**Name****Cost****Info**
Survivalist75The Survivalist starts with a Tomahawk and becomes more deadly as your health drops. Even at full health, you deal significant damage, though this might be nerfed soon. It's perfect for tackling tough enemies that don't go down easily.
Vampire75The Vampire excels in speed and aggression, outpacing horses and zombies. Its melee attacks are powerful, and it comes equipped with a Vampire Knife that heals with each hit. Just avoid sunlight to stay effective.

Here, we find classes that are still excellent but not as strong in solo survival scenarios. They offer good damage and starting gear, but shine more in team settings. Ironclad stands out with its potential:

**Name****Cost****Info**
Ironclad100The Ironclad is heavily armored, making you much harder to kill but slightly slower. It's not ideal for solo runs but excels in team play, especially with shotguns for close combat.
Cowboy50The Cowboy starts with a revolver, ammo, and a horse, making early-game fights easier and providing mobility. It's a great choice for surviving chaotic situations, especially during Blood Moon nights.
Priest75The Priest uses Crucifixes and Holy Water, immune to lightning. While not suited for solo play, it's invaluable in larger teams, offering significant support with its throwables.
Arsonist20The Arsonist is perfect for crowd control with Molotovs and enhanced fire damage. It's ideal for smaller areas and hit-and-run tactics, especially with a horse.

B Tier Dead Rails Classes

These classes are specialists, excelling in specific situations. They're valuable in group settings but less so for solo play. The Doctor is a prime example, offering great support at a low cost:

**Name****Cost****Info**
The Alamo50The Alamo is designed for defense, starting with materials to fortify the Train. It's essential for holding off enemy waves and turning the cabin into a stronghold.
Doctor15The Doctor provides healing and can revive teammates at the cost of half their health. It's one of the most affordable and valuable classes in group play, crucial for turning the tide in tough situations.
Miner15The Miner is ideal for resource gathering and nighttime exploration, equipped with a helmet and a fast Pickaxe. While not combat-focused, its utility is unmatched for material collection.

C Tier Dead Rails Classes

These classes offer good utility but are less effective in solo scenarios. The Conductor is almost essential in larger groups, while the Horse class is more of a novelty:

**Name****Cost****Info**
Conductor50The Conductor controls the Train's speed, starting with Coal. They're vulnerable early on without a melee weapon, but crucial for group mobility and no longer suffer health penalties.
HorseUnlockable through the Horsing Around gamemodeThe Horse Class turns you into a horse, unlocked during the 2025 April Fools event. It offers standard horse stats but struggles in tight spaces and can't ride other horses or the train.
High Roller50The High Roller earns 1.5x money from bags, perfect for a quick start. However, it's more susceptible to lightning strikes, making it a high-risk, high-reward choice.

D Tier Dead Rails Classes

At the bottom of the barrel, we find the None and Zombie classes. The None class is a good starting point for beginners, while the Zombie class remains underpowered:

**Name****Cost****Info**
NoneFreeThe None class is the default, starting with just a shovel. It's a blank slate, perfect for learning the game and saving up bonds before choosing a specialized class.
Zombie75The Zombie can heal by feeding on corpses and has stealth advantages, but lacks access to Bandages or Snake Oil. It's currently the least effective class in the game.

That's all for my Dead Rails class tier list! I hope it helps you break records and tackle mobs with ease. Don't forget to use Dead Rails codes and explore Dead Rails challenges. Stay tuned for what the next update might bring!
