Set in 2053, the narrative follows the catastrophic consequences of deep-sea corporate mining operations awakening an ancient cosmic terror. Players assume the role of Noah, an Interpol agent specializing in occult investigations, who must uncover the truth behind the disappearance of Pacific Ocean miners. Assisted by an AI companion named Key, players will decipher cryptic puzzles, navigate the nightmarish ruins of R'lyeh, and struggle to retain their sanity amid Cthulhu's insidious influence.
Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game delivers mind-bending environments designed to immerse players in its eerie, atmospheric world. The released trailer offers a glimpse into this psychological horror experience. Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss is slated for a 2026 release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms.
