Akatsuki Games has announced the End of Service (EOS) for its latest title, Tribe Nine. Surprisingly, this mobile and PC game was just released in February on Android, iOS, and Steam. You might be wondering what led to this outcome—let’s explore the details.
Tribe Nine will officially cease operations on November 27, 2025. In addition, Akatsuki Games confirmed that Chapter 4 of the main storyline will not be released. This is especially disappointing, as the narrative had recently begun dropping major hints about upcoming developments.
As of May 15, all planned updates, features, bug fixes, and new content have been canceled. This means the adjustments and improvements mentioned in earlier in-game notices will no longer happen.
The two characters scheduled to join the game—Ichinosuke Akiba and Saizo Akiba—will also not be added to the roster.
Refunds will be provided for Paid Enigma Entities used on items such as Armed Support, Advanced Support, and Support Contract – Revenio. Refunds will be processed after the Revenio contract expires.
Additionally, you can no longer purchase Enigma Entities or Daily Passes via the in-game shop or web store. You may continue using your existing Enigma Entities until the game officially shuts down.
Tribe Nine is a free-to-play extreme action RPG with a unique art style and worldbuilding. Despite its quality, the game struggled from the beginning.
It followed an unusually slow update schedule, delivering only one story chapter and one event in the first three months. The game also provided little incentive to spend: players could build a strong team with a single pull, and duplicate units were unnecessary—great for players, but challenging for revenue.
Ultimately, adopting a gacha model was a risky move for Tribe Nine, and it did not succeed. The game remains accessible until November 27, so feel free to try it on Google Play if you haven't already.
