Adeptus Custodes, Emperor's Children Join Warhammer 40000: Tacticus and Warpforge

There has been a surge of content at this year’s Warhammer Skulls 2025 event. The event revealed new games, DLCs, and major updates across the Warhammer universe. For mobile players, Warhammer 40,000 is introducing the Adeptus Custodes in Tacticus and the Emperor’s Children in Warpforge.

Command the Adeptus Custodes

Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus is adding another Imperium faction—the Adeptus Custodes, the Emperor’s elite personal guards. They are more powerful, more resilient, and far more heavily armed than Space Marines.

The Adeptus Custodes will debut in a new Legendary Survival Event starting May 24th. Trajann Valoris will lead the charge, built to absorb massive damage and retaliate with devastating force.

In Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge, things are taking a darker turn. The Emperor’s Children have officially joined the game.

Once loyal to the Imperium, they turned during the Horus Heresy and now serve Slaanesh—embracing excess, suffering, and the thrill of pushing boundaries.

This new faction brings three warlords. Lord Kaphrael specializes in eliminating enemy champions and leads the Callous Blades. Xarahan thrives on arrogance, while Lucius the Eternal brings centuries of dueling mastery.

The mechanics are as twisted as you’d expect. Cards marked with Ecstasy trigger effects when their health drops to a specific threshold. Cruelty rewards you for damaging enemies without killing them.

Stimulation activates when a unit is targeted by a stratagem. Combat Elixirs generate extra stratagems to fuel the rest of the system. Check out the trailer below.
