April 2025 PlayStation Plus Games Announced

Sony has announced the April 2025 PlayStation Plus Essential lineup, featuring RoboCop: Rogue City (PS5), The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (PS4, PS5), and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (PS4).

The company detailed these upcoming additions in a PlayStation.Blog post today. Each title will be available at no extra cost to subscribers of the base PlayStation Plus tier and will remain accessible until the next batch of games arrives on May 5. All three games become available starting April 1.

The April 2025 PlayStation Plus lineup offers a diverse selection for different tastes. Teyon and Nacon’s RoboCop: Rogue City, a brutal and faithful homage to the 80s, stands out as this month's highlight. This first-person shooter places you in the armored boots of Alex Murphy as he battles to protect a crime-infested Detroit from a new lethal menace.

A significant update released in January last year introduced a highly requested New Game Plus mode. Whether you're replaying the story or experiencing it for the first time, we found RoboCop: Rogue City compelling enough at launch, awarding it a 7/10 in our review.

If you prefer bloody multiplayer action, check out Sumo Digital and Gun Media's asymmetrical horror adaptation, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. This game pits survivors against the murderous Slaughter Family in a tense struggle for life or death.

It’s a chilling experience that isn't for the squeamish, designed to make you feel the terror of hearing Leatherface’s chainsaw roar just behind you. At launch, we gave it a 6/10, describing it as "a few entertaining, though technically flawed, hours of fun."

For a change of pace from the intense action of RoboCop and Leatherface, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory offers a more relaxed alternative. Released in 2018 by Bandai Namco, this turn-based monster-collecting RPG expands the digital world with over 320 Digimon to discover and collect, revisiting the events of the original Cyber Sleuth from a fresh viewpoint.

As these new titles arrive next week, don’t forget to claim the March 2025 games before they leave.
