EA Motive and SEED have revealed plans to present groundbreaking advancements in "Texture Sets" creation for games like Dead Space, Iron Man, and others at the upcoming Game Developers Conference (GDC). This innovative approach consolidates related texture sets into a unified resource, enhancing processing efficiency and enabling the generation of new textures. Leading the session will be EA's senior technical artist, Martin Palko, who will delve into the techniques used to craft textures and graphics.
The event, scheduled from March 17 to 21, 2025, presents an opportunity for fans to potentially glimpse actual gameplay or receive further insights into the highly anticipated Iron Man project. Since its announcement in 2022, updates have been scarce, fueling speculation about its status. However, their involvement at GDC confirms active development.
Details about the Iron Man game remain limited, but it is confirmed to feature a single-player narrative with RPG elements, an expansive open world, and will be built using Unreal Engine 5. EA Motive is expected to integrate the flight mechanics from Anthem, a project the studio previously worked on, into the new title.
