Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and with its connecting bridge destroyed, presents a challenge in Divinity: Original Sin 2. This guide outlines multiple methods to overcome this obstacle and access the island's quests.
The remnants of the bridge northeast of Cloisterwood, near Jahan and Witch Alice, can be traversed using several methods:
Gloves of Teleportation: These allow repeated teleportations, enabling you to move each party member individually across the broken segments.
Translocation Skills: Skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat can be used by characters possessing them. This is limited by your party composition.
Teleporter Pyramids: Using two pyramids, one companion can cross using translocation, then the others teleport to their location.
Fast Travel: A companion with translocation reaches the island, establishes a waypoint, allowing the rest of the party to fast travel there.
An undead ferryman northwest of Cloisterwood offers passage across the Deathfog.
With Fane: Fane's undead nature grants immunity to the Deathfog. He can take the ferry alone, establish a waypoint, and allow the rest of the party to fast travel.
Without Fane: This requires at least two Teleporter Pyramids. One companion takes the ferry (dying upon arrival), and the others teleport using the pyramids to revive them. This method is less efficient than using the bridge.
Important Note: Avoid attacking the ferryman unless you're prepared for his Deathfog retaliation. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3750 XP. A quick save is advised before attacking.
The bridge method is generally faster and more reliable for parties without Fane. Choose the method that best suits your party composition and resources.
