Valve has returned from the New Year holidays, and game developers are now treating us to fresh updates. After the news that Deadlock is moving away from its bi-weekly update schedule, we were expecting a substantial patch. However, Valve opted for a lighter start to the year.

The recent patch focused solely on one hero: Yamato, who received a slight nerf with reduced damage scaling and a lower attack speed bonus at the first level of Shadow Transformation. Furthermore, Frenzy, Berserker, and Restorative Shot were weakened, while Alchemical Fire saw a minor rework.

It seems we might have to wait longer for a more comprehensive update. Predicting when that will happen is currently challenging.

It's important to mention that Deadlock has seen a decline in its player base recently. This could be attributed to the popularity of Marvel Rivals, but for a game still in deep beta, maintaining a steady online player count between 7,000 and 19,000 is quite respectable. Keep in mind, Valve has not yet disclosed any potential release dates or specifics about the game's monetization model.
