Leaked gameplay footage of the canceled Transformers: Reactivate has recently re-emerged online. Originally announced in 2022 by Splash Damage in collaboration with Hasbro, the co-op title envisioned players controlling Generation 1 Autobots and Decepticons against an alien threat, "the Legion."

Despite initial hype, the game saw minimal public exposure beyond leaks and merchandise. Subsequent cancellation by Splash Damage, citing a shift in development focus, led to speculation and potential job losses.

Footage from a 2020 build showcases Bumblebee navigating a destroyed city, seamlessly transforming between robot and vehicle modes, and utilizing various weapons. The gameplay bears resemblance to Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, albeit with a different antagonist. While unfinished, the footage, including a silent cutscene depicting Bumblebee's arrival in a post-apocalyptic New York City, demonstrates a polished aesthetic and environmental destruction.

Numerous other leaks, dating back to 2020, further illustrate the game's development. Though ultimately unlaunched, the leaked material provides a glimpse into the potential of this ambitious, yet ultimately canceled, multiplayer Transformers project.
