This guide details the four artifact detectors available in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, explaining their functionality and acquisition methods. Artifacts significantly enhance Skif's stats, making these detectors crucial for gameplay.
Echo Detector: The Standard Issue
The Echo Detector is your starting device. This small, yellow device features a central light tube that pulses faster as you approach an artifact. While functional, pinpointing the artifact's exact location can be time-consuming.
Bear Detector: An Enhanced Experience
Acquired either during the "A Sign of Hope" side mission or from a vendor, the Bear Detector improves upon the Echo Detector by providing a visual distance indicator. Concentric rings illuminate, providing a clearer proximity gauge to the artifact. Full illumination signifies you're directly above the artifact's spawn point.
Hilka Detector: Precision Targeting
Obtained during the "Mysterious Case" side mission from Sultan, the Hilka Detector offers a more precise approach. Numerical readouts correlate to the artifact's position within the anomalous zone. Decreasing numbers indicate closer proximity.
Veles Detector: The Pinnacle of Artifact Detection
The Veles Detector, awarded for completing the main mission "In Search of Past Glory," is the most advanced detector. Its radar display precisely pinpoints artifact locations and also highlights nearby hazardous anomalies, enhancing both efficiency and safety.
