Rainbow Six Siege, celebrating its tenth anniversary, is embarking on a significant transformation with Siege X. This major update, comparable to CS2's impact on CS:GO, marks a new era for the game. Launching June 10th, Siege X will also make Rainbow Six Siege free-to-play for everyone.
Here's a look at the key changes:
New Game Mode: Dual Front – This innovative 6v6 mode blends attack and defense operators. Teams battle to capture zones and deploy sabotage devices across a map featuring three zones per team and a central neutral area. Respawn time is set at 30 seconds.
Advanced Rappel System – Enhanced rappelling mechanics allow vertical and horizontal rope use, adding strategic depth.
Increased Environmental Destruction – Expect more interactive environments with destructible elements like fire extinguishers and gas pipes, creating dynamic gameplay scenarios.
Five Map Reworks – Five popular maps are receiving extensive updates and overhauls.
Graphical & Audio Enhancements – Siege X boasts significant visual and audio improvements for a more immersive experience.
Improved Anti-Cheat & Toxicity Measures – Ubisoft is strengthening its anti-cheat systems and implementing measures to combat toxic behavior within the community.
A closed beta will be available within the next seven days for players who tune into Siege streams.
