Pokémon GO's New Year's Celebration: Get Ready for Festive Fun!

Pokémon GO is celebrating the New Year with its annual festive event, running from December 30th, 2024 to January 1st, 2025! This year's event promises themed bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and plenty of ways to ring in 2025 in style. Following the December 21st-22nd Community Day event featuring returning Community Day Pokémon, trainers can jump straight into the New Year's festivities.

A key highlight is the boosted XP: earn 2,025 XP for every Pokémon caught with an Excellent Throw! Enjoy festive fireworks and New Year's decorations enhancing the in-game experience.

Expect increased appearances of special Pokémon, including a ribbon-adorned Jigglypuff, a New Year's outfit-wearing Hoothoot, and a party-hat-wearing Wurmple. Shiny versions of these Pokémon will also be more likely to appear.

Raids are getting a festive makeover too! One-star raids will feature a snowflake-hatted Pikachu, while three-star raids include party-hat-wearing Raticate and Wobbuffet. Shiny rates are increased for all three.
