Monster Hunter Wilds February Open Beta Features New Monsters and Content

Monster Hunter Wilds is gearing up for a second Open Beta, offering a fresh chance for players to experience the thrill of the hunt! This expanded beta includes new features and content, ensuring a more comprehensive preview before the game's official launch. Find out how to participate below!

New Monster, Enhanced Experience

Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? Fear not! A second beta test is scheduled for the first two weeks of February, providing another opportunity to dive into the action before the February 28th release. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced this exciting news in a recent video on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.

The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time around, players can expect new content, including the formidable Gypceros, a returning favorite from the series.

Character data from the previous beta is transferable to this one and, subsequently, to the full game. However, progress won't carry over. As a thank you for participating, beta testers will receive in-game rewards: a decorative Stuffed Felyne Teddy and a special bonus item pack to aid early game progression.

"We understand many missed the first beta or wanted a second chance," Tsujimoto explained. "The team is diligently finalizing the full game." While a pre-launch community update detailed upcoming improvements, these refinements won't be included in this beta.
