How To Play Hyper Light Breaker With Friends

To enjoy Hyper Light Breaker in co-op mode with your friends, you'll need to create a Private multiplayer room. Once you spawn into the Cursed Outpost, the central hub of Hyper Light Breaker, navigate to the counter to the left of Pherus Bit, your commander, who is stationed opposite the Outpost's entrance.

Interact with the counter by pressing the Interact button (usually R1 or RB) to access the Multiplayer menu. Here, you can create, join a Breaker Team, or manage your Invitations. To play with friends, select "Create Breaker Team".

In the subsequent menu, toggle "Password Required" to "On" and enter a password. After setting up your private Breaker Team, invite up to two friends using your platform's social service – compatible with PSN, Xbox, and Steam. Hyper Light Breaker supports groups of up to three players.

If your friends are already in-game, they'll receive the invitation in their "Invitations" tab. Otherwise, they can join through the invitation link you've sent them.

Your team might also appear in the general "Join Breaker Team" listing, allowing friends to join your Private group directly if other methods fail.

Once your friend accepts the invite and enters the password, you're ready to embark on co-op adventures in Hyper Light Breaker.

Random Online Matchmaking In Hyper Light Breaker

If you're looking to play multiplayer without friends who own the game, Hyper Light Breaker's system enables you to join public groups. You can either create a public group without a password or use the matchmaking feature to join one randomly.

From the multiplayer menu in the Cursed Outpost, select "Join Breaker Team" and scroll to "Join Random Public Breaker Team" at the bottom of the screen.

The game will search for available public Breaker Teams without passwords and assign you to one if available. After a brief loading period, you'll enter the world of the Breaker Team's creator.

To exit a multiplayer session, return to the counter in the Cursed Outpost, access the multiplayer menu, and choose the option to disconnect from the current session. Alternatively, you can simply quit the game to end the session.
