Hangry Morpeko Is Coming To Pokémon GO This Halloween!

Get ready for Pokémon GO's spooky Halloween event! Niantic has revealed the details for Part 1 (with a Part 2 to follow!), bringing exciting features and ghostly Pokémon encounters.

The event runs from Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time, until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

What's Haunting Pokémon GO?

Morpeko makes its debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, especially effective against Team GO Rocket and in GO Battle League. Its Full Belly and Hangry Modes change its Aura Wheel attack type (Electric or Dark) mid-battle, while boosting Attack.

During the event, Morpeko will appear more frequently in GO Battle League's premium track, and afterwards at Rank 16 and beyond (though still more common in premium battles).

A Spooktacular Halloween Atmosphere!

Expect festive Halloween decorations and a remix of the classic Lavender Town theme music playing nightly! Enjoy this eerie soundtrack:

Dynamax Gastly joins one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.

A free Timed Research event, focusing on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits, runs from October 22nd to November 3rd. Complete tasks to encounter Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
