FromSoftware's upcoming title will offer early access exclusively to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players. Registration opens January 10th, with testing slated for February. This excludes a substantial portion of the fanbase from early access.
Bandai Namco has yet to explain the omission of PC players from this initial testing phase. However, selected console gamers will enjoy a preview before the official launch.
Elden Ring: Nightreign continues the narrative of its predecessor, introducing new challenges within a dark and foreboding setting. While console players get a head start, PC users will need to await news regarding potential future testing opportunities.
A notable change in Elden Ring: Nightreign is the removal of the in-game messaging system. Director Junya Ishizaki clarified this decision, stating that the approximately forty-minute play sessions don't allow sufficient time for message interaction. He explained, "We removed the messaging feature due to the limited time – roughly forty minutes – available within each session for sending or reading messages."
