New EA Sports UFC 5 Update Adds Undefeated Fighter

EA Sports UFC 5 receives a significant January 9th update (Patch 1.18), launching at 1 PM ET on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This update introduces undefeated fighter Azamat Murzakanov to the Light Heavyweight division, boasting impressive stats (97 Power Punch, 95 Accuracy, 94 Ground Striking). Additionally, three new fighter alter egos are included, though their identities remain undisclosed.

The update also addresses several issues: a reduction in the stamina cost of the muscle modifier (from 3.125x to 2.5x), corrected language translations, a fix for missing match result displays in Ranked Championship Stand and Bang, and updated portraits for Stipe and Jones to reflect in-game glove changes. New vanity rewards and a refined "More Offers Store" sorting system (by release series) are also part of the update.

Notably, EA Sports UFC 5 will become available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers via EA Play starting January 14th. This follows the game's October 2023 release and EA Vancouver's ongoing commitment to expanding the roster, achieving near-parity (98%) with current UFC top ten rankings. While speculation about a new UFC game persists, EA Vancouver's focus remains on enhancing the current title.
