Where To Find Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

After the March 2025 update, you can discover Essence Stones tucked away in chests within the mines of *Fields of Mistria*. My first encounter was while searching for items to break the Fire Seal on Floor 60, but keep an eye out—chests containing these stones can appear on any level across various biomes. Be cautious, though; mimic enemies can masquerade as chests and may attack if you're not careful.

Essence Stones come in four sizes: tiny, small, medium, and large. The smaller stones are more common, but with a bit of exploration, you can uncover the larger varieties. If finding them proves challenging, you can always craft them once you've built the Stone Refinery in the mines.

How To Craft Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

Crafting Essence Stones becomes possible at the Stone Refinery, a new addition to *Fields of Mistria* with the March 2025 update. This facility becomes accessible through a story quest where Adeline enlists your help, along with Olric and Errol, to construct it within the mines.

To set up the Stone Refinery, you'll need:

• x400 Stone
• x5,000 Tesserae

Once operational, the refinery allows you to craft Essence Stones of various sizes. The crafting process involves Stone and Essence, with the required quantities varying by size. Here's what you'll need:

The Stone Refinery isn't just for Essence Stones; it's also a versatile hub for crafting common materials, Refined Stone, and rare items like Obsidian and Diamond, making it indispensable for your projects in Mistria.

How To Use Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

The March 2025 update brought the auto-petter and sprinkler mechanics to *Fields of Mistria*, both powered by Essence Stones. Larger stones provide a longer charge duration, maximizing efficiency.

The auto-petter mechanic is facilitated by the Animal Sprite Statue, which you can place in Large Barns and Coops to automatically pet all animals daily, as long as an Essence Stone is active. You'll find this statue in a hidden cave near Errol’s house in the Narrows, accessible with the Dragon’s Breath spell. Additional statues can be crafted once unlocked.

For the sprinkler mechanic, the Water Sprite Statue automatically waters crops within a 2-tile radius when powered by an Essence Stone. You can place it anywhere on your farm and craft more as needed. The statue and its crafting scroll await on a small island east of the beach, past the Lighthouse area. Access it by swimming and using Dragon’s Breath to enter.
