He assures fans that development is significantly further along than publicly perceived, though further specifics remain undisclosed. While this news may disappoint some, it's a more positive outlook than earlier rumors suggesting a 2027 launch.

The June 2024 trailer offered a glimpse of the game's post-apocalyptic setting, featuring Mad Max-style vehicle combat and intense zombie gunfights. The narrative will unfold years after the apocalypse, focusing on human settlements battling for survival against the undead.

State of Decay 3 is slated for release on PC and Xbox Series consoles. The previous installment launched in 2018.
