CrazyGames is set to launch its exhilarating Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 from April 25th to May 5th. This 10-day event, in partnership with Photon, invites indie developers worldwide to dive into a thrilling game development marathon centered around crafting innovative web-based multiplayer games.
Participants in the jam will have the chance to win a share of €10,000 in cash prizes and premium Photon licenses. The enticing prizes include:
The event's only strict requirements are that games must be developed and submitted within the jam period and must adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these guidelines, developers are encouraged to unleash their creativity and push the boundaries of multiplayer gaming.
Since its inception in 2014, CrazyGames has solidified its position as the leading platform for free online gaming, leveraging technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGI to deliver seamless browser-based gaming experiences across thousands of titles. In collaboration with Photon, CrazyGames will not only support participants throughout the event but also offer the opportunity for winning games to be showcased on their platform.
To kick things off, a pre-jam livestream is scheduled for April 24th at 4 pm CEST on YouTube and LinkedIn. This session will provide insights into two new WebGL platforms, Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Head of Growth at Photon Engine, shared his excitement, stating, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
Registration for Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all skill levels. To learn more and sign up, visit the official jam page.
