We all recognize the classic action movie trope where a shadowy government agency taps their most reliable, retired operative, now living off the grid, for just one more mission. But what if there's one mission too many? That's the premise of I Am Your Beast, now available on iOS.
In this game, you step into the shoes of Alphonse Harding, a retired special ops agent who has been pulled back into the fray one too many times. After six years of retirement, when the Cover Operations Initiative (COI) comes knocking with yet another mission, you decide to refuse. This refusal sets you on a collision course with the military industrial complex, right on your home turf. If they want a war, you're ready to give it to them.
Developed by the team behind El Paso, Elsewhere, I Am Your Beast offers a unique gameplay experience described as "he's-in-the-walls" style. You'll leverage the wilderness and verticality of each level, engaging in frenetic, high-octane gunplay. Here, you're the hunter, and your opponents are the hunted, embracing all the gleeful violence that comes with it.
Nothing is over
This game can be seen as a digital take on Rambo: First Blood, where you'll navigate through over 20 levels with a fully voice-acted campaign. Whether you choose stealth with sniper rifles and bear traps or go full-on Predator, I Am Your Beast offers micro-sandboxes for you to approach each fight with fast-paced, intense action.
Unfortunately, Android users will have to wait, as there's no news yet on a potential release on Google Play. However, iOS players can dive in and experience a try-before-you-buy option, allowing them to sample what I Am Your Beast has to offer before committing to the full version.
