Shift Up has officially announced that Stellar Blade will receive a full sequel.
The PlayStation-exclusive action title debuted successfully in April 2024, drawing favorable comparisons to NieR: Automata and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice for its combat mechanics.
The Korean studio revealed its sequel plans through a strategic roadmap included in today's financial report, outlining upcoming franchise expansions.
Shift Up's development presentation confirms the Stellar Blade sequel as part of their pipeline, with multiple projects slated for release by 2027.
Prior to the sequel's launch, the studio mentions a "platform expansion" for Stellar Blade, most likely referencing its confirmed PC version arriving June 11, 2025.
This same production window will also see the debut of Project Witches, Shift Up's enigmatic multiplatform action RPG currently shrouded in mystery.

The studio recently acknowledged investigating a puzzling PC regional restriction issue with Sony, which prevented Steam store access in over 100 countries.
"Stellar Blade delivers visually stunning, precision-crafted action gameplay with notable highs and some evident shortcomings," noted IGN's official review.
"While its narrative and character development feel underserved, and certain RPG mechanics like repetitive backtracking quests falter, the exceptional combat system carries the experience.
"Its Sekiro-inspired battles shine against creatively monstrous foes, complemented by rewarding exploration mechanics that encourage thorough level revisits."
