Marvel's Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Animated Series Gets a Season 2 and 3 Renewal!

Before its January 29th premiere, Marvel's animated series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, has already secured renewals for both Season 2 and Season 3! Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation, revealed this exciting news during an interview with The Movie Podcast.

Winderbaum shared that Season 2 is well underway, with completed scripts and half of the animatics already finished. Season 3 has also received the green light. He expressed his enthusiasm for the series, stating, "I've fallen so head over heels in love with these characters...What [lead writer and executive producer Jeff Trammell] is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off." He further emphasized the deepening character development across the seasons.

While Winderbaum confirmed upcoming meetings with Trammell to discuss Season 3's storyline, he remained tight-lipped about release dates for both Season 2 and 3.

The series chronicles Peter Parker's freshman year as he navigates high school and the emergence of his superpowers. Whether the subsequent seasons will follow Peter through his sophomore and junior years, or explore alternative storylines within his first year, remains to be seen.
