Sam's Location Revealed in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

If you're aiming for the best ending in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, rescuing Sam is a crucial task. Knowing where to find Sam and how to save him can make all the difference in achieving that perfect conclusion.

Rescuing Sam During "Reckoning"

As you near the end of the main quest line, you'll discover that Sam is being held captive at Praguer's Camp, having been captured by Brabant. Your opportunity to save him comes during the main quest "Reckoning." Infiltrating the camp requires strategy—you can either sneak in or opt for a more direct approach.

To move around the camp without raising suspicion, you'll need a guard's outfit. You could kill a guard and take his outfit, making sure to hide the body afterward. Alternatively, a less risky method involves looting the many chests scattered throughout the camp to find one. Once you have the outfit, equip it to freely explore the camp in search of Sam.

Sam is located in the barn on the left side of the camp, just beyond the open area with the cooking fire. Use the ladder on the side of the barn to climb up and then drop down inside, where you'll confront Brabant. At this point, you have a critical decision: you can either kill or spare Brabant. Sparing him contributes to the best ending, so consider your choices carefully.

When to Rescue Sam

After freeing Sam, it's not time to leave the camp just yet. Sam will inform you about von Aulitz, who is also being held in the camp. It's advisable to deal with von Aulitz first, then find a horse, and finally return to Sam to escort him out. Sam can wait safely, and completing tasks in this order simplifies the process, especially since you'll need to carry him to the horse.

Von Aulitz is located in the main part of the camp. With your guard outfit, you can easily enter his quarters. Upon finding him, you'll see that he's already dying. He requests a dignified death, which is the most honorable option. Alternatively, you can choose to kill him brutally or leave him to die slowly. Interestingly, leaving him to die actually contributes to the best ending.

Once you've dealt with von Aulitz, return to the barn where Sam is waiting. If a guard questions you about moving Sam, simply tell him you're handling a body, which will dispel any suspicion. Head towards the camp gates and exit, then turn right and follow the perimeter.

Follow the camp's outer edge until you reach the stables. Choose a horse and make your escape with Sam, moving one step closer to completing the main quests of *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
