Get ready to unleash your inner demon hunter! Netflix is bringing the electrifying world of Devil May Cry to life in an all-new anime series, and the first trailer is finally here. What makes this adaptation even more special is the posthumous appearance of the legendary Kevin Conroy.
Conroy, forever cherished as the iconic voice of Batman, lends his talents to the series as VP Baines, a brand-new character whose voice introduces the sneak peek. His performance follows his acclaimed posthumous role in Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part 3, released in July 2024, offering fans another opportunity to celebrate his artistry. Joining Conroy are Scout Taylor-Compton as Mary, Hoon Lee as White Rabbit, Chris Coppola as Enzo, and Johnny Yong Bosch as the legendary Dante himself.
Netflix's official synopsis teases the high-stakes action: "Sinister forces are at play, threatening to tear open the portal between the human and demon realms. At the heart of this chaos is Dante, an orphaned demon hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds rests on his shoulders."
Adi Shankar, known for his work on films like Dredd and Killing Them Softly, serves as showrunner. He’s also slated to executive produce a Assassin's Creed adaptation, though its future remains uncertain. The animation will be handled by Studio Mir, the acclaimed South Korean studio behind The Legend of Korra and X-Men ’97.
Mark your calendars! Devil May Cry premieres on Netflix April 3, 2025.
