Marvel's Moon Knight: Future Appearances Confirmed, But No Season 2
While Marvel Studios has plans for Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight within the MCU, a second season of the Disney+ series is currently off the table. This news comes directly from Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum, who spoke with ComicBook.
Winderbaum clarified that the shift away from a Season 2 stems from a change in Marvel Television's strategy. Initially, the focus was on establishing characters through individual shows before integrating them into larger MCU projects, as seen with Ms. Marvel leading into The Marvels. However, the studio is now adopting a more traditional television model, aiming for annual releases of self-contained series.
"Moon Knight was part of a wave of shows establishing characters for future tie-ins," Winderbaum explained. "Moving forward, our priorities have shifted. We're making shows that can exist as annual releases, more like traditional television. I would love to see a Moon Knight Season 2, but there are plans for Moon Knight down the road."
While Isaac lent his voice to Moon Knight in Marvel's What If…?, his return to live-action remains unannounced.
The MCU's upcoming Disney+ slate includes Daredevil: Born Again (March), Ironheart (June), Eyes of Wakanda (August), Marvel Zombies (October), and Wonder Man (December). Recently, production on Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc. was reportedly paused, though Winderbaum hinted at potential future plans for a Defenders reunion.
