Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has set a new benchmark as Capcom's fastest-selling title, reaching over 8 million units sold in just three days. Capcom announced this milestone on their official website, marking a historic achievement for the company.

The game's launch was met with significant success, as reported by SteamDB, with MH Wilds achieving over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam, despite receiving mixed reviews. Capcom credits this success to extensive promotional efforts, including participation in global video game events and an open beta test that allowed players to experience the game firsthand.

Latest Update Addressed Game-Breaking Bug

Monster Hunter Wilds has recently released a hot fix patch, Ver.1.000.04.00, to address several bugs that were hindering player progress. The official Monster Hunter Status account on Twitter (X) announced on March 4, 2025, that this update is now available across all platforms.

The patch resolved issues such as the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features not unlocking despite meeting the criteria, the Monster Field Guide being inaccessible, and a critical game-breaking bug that blocked story progression in Chapter 5-2 "A World Turned Upside Down," among others. Players are required to update the game to continue playing online.

However, some bugs remain unaddressed, including a network error triggered by firing an SOS flare after a quest begins, and Palico’s blunt weapon attacks not inflicting stun and exhaust damages. These issues, particularly those related to multiplayer, are expected to be resolved in an upcoming patch.
