So, you just navigated through an intense mission in *Ready or Not*, eliminated all threats, rescued the hostages, and thought you did everything by the book. But then, out of nowhere, you get hit with a "Mission Not Complete" message. Frustrating, right? Don't worry, you're not alone. Here's how to tackle the "Mission Not Complete" issue in *Ready or Not*.

1. Double-Check Your Objectives

Ready Or Not Mission Complete Vote Screen

The first step is to thoroughly review your objectives. Even if you believe you've ticked all the boxes, sometimes the game might think otherwise. If you haven't met all the objectives, you can still vote to end the mission, but it won't count as complete.

How to Check:

  • Press the Tab button to open the mission menu and scrutinize the objective list. If you see anything marked in red or labeled as incomplete, that's your clue.
  • Some common oversights include:
    • Reporting downed suspects or civilians – After incapacitating or killing a suspect, you must report it by interacting with them (default key: F). The same goes for civilians.
    • Securing evidence (weapons, bombs, etc.) – Make sure to secure any dropped weapons. If a suspect drops a gun, pick it up.
    • Completing optional objectives – Some missions have additional tasks like disabling security systems. Skipping these can result in a mission not counting as complete.
    • Ensuring all hostages are safe – Double-check that all civilians are properly rescued and not left tied up somewhere.
  • Fix: Revisit the map and ensure you haven't overlooked anything.

2. The Vote-to-End Issue (Multiplayer)

Ready Or Not Vote to End Mission Screen

This issue trips up many players. In co-op mode, every player must vote to end the mission. If just one player misses the vote prompt, the "Mission Not Complete" error will persist in *Ready or Not*.

How to Fix:

  • Ensure all players press Y (default key) when the vote prompt appears.
  • If someone isn't voting, remind them through voice or text chat.
  • If a player is AFK, you may need to wait it out or consider kicking them from the session.
  • For connectivity issues, check our guide on how to fix 'Can't Connect to Host' in *Ready or Not*.
  • If the vote screen doesn't appear for some players, restart the mission.

3. Objective Bugs

Occasionally, despite completing all objectives, the game may still not recognize your efforts.

Common Bugs:

  • The game fails to register secured weapons.
  • A hostage doesn't count as rescued even after being saved.
  • An objective remains incomplete despite meeting the conditions.

How to Fix:

  • Restart the mission and try again.
  • In multiplayer, switch the host as the game may register objectives differently for different players.
  • Verify your game files: Go to Steam > Right-click *Ready or Not* > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files to fix any missing or corrupted files that might cause issues.

The Classic 'Restart and Hope' Method

If none of the above solutions work, sometimes the only way out is to restart the mission.

Yes, it's not the most ideal solution, but *Ready or Not* is still in development, and mission completion bugs are not uncommon. If a mission stubbornly refuses to complete no matter what you do, restarting might be the quickest fix.

And that's how you can fix "Mission Not Complete" in *Ready or Not*.

Ready or Not is available now on PC.
