Medabot Survivors: Bullet-Hell Action for Medabots Fans, But Only in Japan (for now)

Medabot Survivors, a new bullet-hell action game based on the popular Japanese robot role-playing series, is launching on February 10th. However, this exciting release is currently exclusive to Japan on iOS and Android.

As reported by Gematsu, Medabots, while less known in the West compared to Digimon or Pokémon, boasts significant popularity in Japan. This new entry in the Survivors-like genre capitalizes on that established fanbase. For now, however, international players will have to wait and see if a global release is planned.

A Growing Genre

While often associated with Vampire Survivors, the "Survivors-like" genre has a longer history. Medabot Survivors' release highlights the genre's global expansion, and its success in Japan could pave the way for a wider release. Many excellent Japanese games remain unavailable internationally, but the potential popularity of Medabot Survivors offers hope for future global access.
