Director Ji-Won Choi recently unveiled exciting news for fans of the Soulslike title, Lies of P. In a heartfelt message celebrating the game's anniversary, Choi offered a glimpse into upcoming DLC and confirmed a sequel is in development.

Expanding the World of Lies of P

Choi expressed gratitude to the fanbase, highlighting their support as the driving force behind the team's continued work on the DLC, developed amidst Korea's summer heat. He emphasized a commitment to building upon the original game's strengths while addressing previous shortcomings. The goal, he stated, is to "do better on what we did well and improve in areas we have room to grow."

The most significant reveal was a piece of concept art depicting P in a snowy locale, gazing towards a lighthouse. This mysterious setting hints at a new storyline filled with the characteristic danger of the original game. Accompanying the artwork was a musical snippet from the DLC's soundtrack, a track previously composed in 2022 by onoken. While seemingly familiar, NEOWIZ owns the rights to both the original and the new arrangement. A music video further teased the DLC's atmosphere, showcasing a character with a clockwork weapon rescuing a captive girl.

DLC Release and Future Plans

While a precise release date remains unannounced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 Earnings Results indicate a launch during the second half of 2024. This release will coincide with several other NEOWIZ projects: The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy, Cats & Soup: Malang Town, Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe, and Project IG.

Previously released concept art showcased two distinct environments: an imposing industrial facility and a treacherous shipwreck, further building anticipation.

Choi assured fans that their anticipation will be rewarded, promising a delightful experience. Importantly, the DLC serves as a prelude to a full sequel, ensuring the Lies of P universe will continue to expand.
