Krafton's highly anticipated life simulator, inZOI, has been delayed until March 28, 2025, to ensure a superior gaming experience. The decision, announced by director Hyungjin "Kjun" Kim on the game's Discord server, prioritizes building a stronger foundation based on valuable player feedback gathered from character creator demos and playtests.
Kjun explained the delay using the analogy of raising a child, emphasizing the commitment to delivering a complete and polished game. This move reflects Krafton's dedication to meeting player expectations, especially considering the immense popularity of the character creator demo, which saw a peak of 18,657 concurrent players before its removal from Steam on August 25, 2024.
The postponement positions inZOI, a potential Sims rival boasting unparalleled customization and realistic graphics, in competition with Paralives, another life simulator slated for a 2025 release. However, Krafton aims to avoid the pitfalls of releasing an unfinished product, unlike the fate of Life By You earlier this year.

While the delay may disappoint some fans, Krafton assures that the extra development time will result in a game worthy of the anticipation, offering a rich and engaging experience for years to come. From managing work stress to enjoying virtual karaoke, inZOI aims to carve its own niche within the life simulation genre.
