Kamitsubaki City Ensemble: A Post-Apocalyptic Rhythm Game Set to Launch

Studio Lalala's upcoming rhythm game, Kamitsubaki City Ensemble, is poised for release on August 29th, 2024. Available on Android, iOS, PC, Switch, and other consoles for a budget-friendly $3 (440 Yen), this title promises a unique blend of rhythm gameplay and narrative depth.

A World Rebuilt Through Melody

The game unfolds in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by destruction. Hope emerges in the form of AI girls, survivors tasked with restoring the world through the power of music. As players progress, the story behind the catastrophe and the AI girls' existence gradually unravels, inviting players to uncover the truth and aid in the world's musical reconstruction.

Gameplay and Features

Kamitsubaki City Ensemble features five AI girls and five witches, each contributing to the vibrant rhythm experience. Players will navigate four difficulty levels (easy, normal, hard, and pro), starting with four lanes and progressing to seven for a heightened challenge. The core gameplay involves hitting rhythm buttons in sync with the music and the on-screen dance performances.

The base game boasts 48 songs, with a season pass offering continuous additions to the soundtrack. The music itself is a highlight, featuring tracks from Kamitsubaki Studio and the Musical Isotope series, including popular songs such as "Devour the Past," "Carnivorous Plant," "Sirius's Heart," and "Terra."
