Embark on a rewarding side quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* – "The Axe From the Lake." These optional tasks often yield valuable rewards, making them well worth your time. This guide will walk you through completing this intriguing quest.

How to Begin "The Axe From the Lake" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*

To start this quest, head to the Tachov tavern and speak with Zdenyek the Mouth. Engage him in conversation, prompting him to share something informative. He'll then reveal details about a legendary axe hidden within the lake, setting you on your quest.

Locating the Axe From the Lake

Before venturing to the quest marker, gather a spade. These are commonly found in graveyards on the outskirts of towns, or you can purchase one from general traders. The quest marker covers a wide area; begin at the pier overlooking the water.

Follow the path north from the pier, past an undamaged tree (Henry will comment on it), then to a large rock (another comment from Henry will follow). Continue along the path until you discover a gravesite near a tree. Dig it up to unearth:

  • A gemstone
  • A silver ring
  • Five marigolds
  • A broken axe

Repairing the Axe

Take the broken axe to blacksmith Radovan in Tachov. He'll repair it for you, but you'll need a fastening material and 699.5 groschen. You can also purchase the fastening material from Radovan.

Once repaired, the axe becomes the "Adorned Axe." Return to Zdenyek to complete the quest and claim your reward. You can then use the Adorned Axe in battle.
