The all-new *Call of Duty* Zombies map, The Tomb, introduces an exciting return of the iconic Wonder Weapon, the Staff of Ice, originally featured in *Black Ops II*'s Origins. In *Black Ops 6* Zombies, players can once again wield this powerful weapon. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to acquire the Staff of Ice on The Tomb.
In *Black Ops II*, obtaining the Staff of Ice required collecting three specific parts. Fortunately, in *Black Ops 6*, while the traditional method remains available, players can also try their luck at the Mystery Box. However, acquiring the Staff of Ice this way depends heavily on RNG. Using the "Wunderbar!" GobbleGum might improve your chances, but remember, the Ray Gun is also in the mix, so success is not guaranteed. For those who prefer certainty over chance, here's how to build the Staff of Ice without relying on luck.
To start your journey with the Staff of Ice, you'll need to collect three parts. The first part, the Monocle, is the easiest to obtain. Simply kill the first Shock Mimic you encounter in a match on The Tomb. Once it's down, approach the Monocle it drops and use the interact button to add it to your inventory.
The next two parts involve similar challenges but can be acquired in any order. To get the Staff of Ice Head Piece, head to the Neolithic Catacombs. Look for a wall with a cave painting and shoot the sections of the lit wall. If the wall isn't lit, you'll need to light up the area using Dark Aether lanterns around the Catacombs. Shoot a lantern with purple fire, and it will eventually respawn in another lantern. When the lantern nearest to the painted wall lights up, the symbols on the wall will become visible.
If lanterns haven't spawned yet, visit the Dark Aether Nexus and return. You may need to advance a few rounds if they're still missing. Shoot the symbols in the correct order, which are Roman Numerals from I to X. This step is forgiving; if you make a mistake, you can resume from the last correct number. Use a bullet weapon to avoid messing up the sequence with splash or explosive damage.
Completing this step correctly will light up a constellation on the wall, triggering a lockdown. Survive the onslaught of zombies and special enemies during this period. It's advisable to attempt this on lower rounds and ensure you have armor, perks, and possibly a Pack-a-Punched weapon. Once the lockdown ends, you can collect the Staff of Ice Head Piece from the mural wall.
The final piece, the Staff itself, is found in the Tombs room. Follow the same process of lighting up the area with lanterns until the purple fire reaches the correct location near the Bull Mural. This mural shows a bull charging at Romans. Shoot the Roman Numerals in ascending order from I to VIII. Completing this will also trigger a lockdown. Survive it to obtain the Staff piece, which you can then assemble in the Dark Aether Nexus.
With all three parts in hand, head to the Dark Aether Nexus through the Door to Nowhere. At the large structure in the center, place the Monocle, Head Piece, and Staff Piece by holding the interact button. This action will trigger an attack from zombies, special, and possibly elite enemies, all trying to prevent the Staff from being assembled. Defend the Staff diligently, using perks, upgraded weapons, and GobbleGums like Kill Joy and Free Fire to enhance your firepower.
Successfully defending the Staff will result in its assembly, ready for you to use in your battles against the undead.
And that's how you can obtain the Staff of Ice on The Tomb in *Black Ops 6* Zombies.
