Unlocking the Gold Armor Vest in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies on The Tomb Map
Enhanced armor is crucial in Call of Duty Zombies, and The Tomb map offers a challenging Easter egg to obtain the superior Gold Armor Vest. This guide details the steps to acquire this powerful upgrade, significantly improving survivability.
Gold Armor Vest Benefits
First introduced in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, the Gold Armor Vest automatically repairs itself over time, eliminating the constant need for armor plating. This feature is retained in Black Ops 6, offering significant resource management advantages and ensuring protection against powerful enemies like Amalgams, even without readily available plates.
Acquiring the Gold Armor Vest: A Step-by-Step Guide
Locate Statue Heads: Two statue heads must be found within the Dark Aether Nexus. These are hidden inside destructible wooden boxes. Use melee attacks to break the boxes and collect the heads. One box is near a palm tree in a corner of the Nexus, close to the green Gateway portal (see image below). The second is easily spotted near the Juggernog Perk Machine.
Repair Roman Statues: Take the statue heads to the Dig Site. Two ruined Roman statues are located here: one near the Ammo Cache, and the other near the Roman Mausoleum (Pack-a-Punch area). Interact with each statue to place a head and repair it.
Complete Blood Sacrifices: Interacting with the repaired statues initiates a "Blood Sacrifice." This involves surviving waves of high-value target (HVT) enemies: Shock Mimics and Doppelghasts. The challenge significantly reduces player health to 1 HP, but damage is absorbed by armor. A Tier 3 vest and ample armor plates are strongly recommended.
Strategies for Survival:
Claim Your Reward: After completing both Blood Sacrifices, the Gold Armor Vest becomes available for purchase as a free Wall Buy in the Roman Mausoleum.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
