The developers of the upcoming life simulation game, inZOI, recently addressed fan questions regarding intimate interactions. When asked about the depiction of sexual intercourse, the assistant director provided an ambiguous response, leaving players uncertain about the game's approach. Essentially, the implication is that romantic interactions between male and female ZOIs leading to procreation will occur, but the visual representation will be left largely to the player's interpretation. The statement hinted at a less explicit portrayal than some anticipated.

Therefore, the level of explicit content remains unclear. It's currently unknown whether inZOI will employ censorship similar to The Sims series or utilize a novel approach.

The developers also explained the decision to depict ZOIs showering in towels instead of using pixelated censorship. They cited two reasons: first, this approach is more visually appropriate for the game's cartoonish art style; pixelated censorship in a realistic style can appear overly sexualized. Second, a technical issue involving reflections in mirrors further complicated the use of pixelation.

Ultimately, the game's rating provides the clearest indication of its content. inZOI has received a T rating from the ESRB (suitable for teens) and is expected to receive a PEGI 12 rating, aligning with the ratings of The Sims 4.
