Accused of pushing a school prefect out a window, you must clear your name in Expelled!, a new mystery game from inkle, the creators of Overboard!.
In this gripping narrative adventure set in 1922, you play Verity Amersham, a scholarship student at an elite boarding school, voiced by Amelia Tyler (Baldur’s Gate 3). With just one day to exonerate yourself, every decision – from your actions and location to who you speak with and what you say – significantly impacts the unfolding story.
Unlike simple dialogue choices, Expelled! features a dynamic environment where NPCs react in real-time to your actions. Alliances shift, and uncovering the truth requires careful navigation. Will you solve the mystery honestly, or resort to lies and manipulation to escape expulsion? The choice is yours.
The game offers multiple playthroughs, each lasting approximately 30-45 minutes, with vastly different outcomes. Discover hidden secrets, forge alliances, and even aim for the coveted Head Girl position. The branching narrative ensures no two experiences are alike. Unravel the mysteries surrounding the locked cellar and your friend's hidden agenda.
Immerse yourself in the 1920s atmosphere, complemented by a jazz soundtrack featuring legendary artists like George Gershwin, Louis Armstrong, and Bessie Smith. Will you play fair, or will you do whatever it takes to survive?
Expelled! launches March 12th on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and iOS. While you wait, explore our curated list of the best narrative mobile games!
