Devil May Cry Anime Premieres March 2023

Netflix's highly anticipated Devil May Cry anime series finally has a release date: April 3rd! The streaming giant made the announcement via X (formerly Twitter), accompanied by a suitably edgy teaser trailer featuring Limp Bizkit.

This adaptation, helmed by Castlevania's Adi Shankar and animated by Studio Mir (renowned for The Legend of Korra and X-Men '97), was initially announced in 2018. The first season will consist of eight episodes.

Plot specifics remain shrouded in mystery, but indications suggest the series will focus on Dante, mirroring his portrayal in the first three Devil May Cry games, rather than his appearance in Devil May Cry 5. Interestingly, Johnny Yong Bosch, the voice of Nero in the video games, will be lending his talents to the role of Dante.
