The New Denpa Men is returning to mobile devices! This quirky creature-collecting RPG, a 3DS favorite that later graced the Nintendo Switch, is set for a mobile comeback on March 10th for iOS and Android. Could this mark a global release?

Given Nintendo's recent mobile push, a Switch-to-smartphone transition for some titles felt inevitable. However, few anticipated it would include the surreal RPG, The New Denpa Men. Gematsu reports the game's imminent mobile arrival. The original cleverly utilized AR via the 3DS camera, a feature reportedly retained in this new release.

Many remember The Denpa Men as an early 3DS title, an AR-based RPG where players collected the titular radio wave-dwelling creatures from the real world and battled them in dungeons.

While not a Mario or Zelda level franchise, The Denpa Men has appeared on multiple Nintendo platforms. Developer Genius Sonority also has prior mobile experience, releasing the original New Denpa Men before its Switch remaster. Therefore, we're potentially seeing a mobile rerelease of a game remastered for the Switch—a slightly convoluted journey! The original New Denpa Men was Japan-only; however, the Switch version had a global launch, suggesting a worldwide release for this mobile iteration is possible.
