Rey Dau is the first dragon monster you'll encounter in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. With its lightning element, it's immune to this type of damage, but it's vulnerable to other elements, particularly water and ice. The best place to strike is its head, boasting a 4-star weakness. Another effective target is its wings, which have a 3-star weakness.

Avoid attacking its sturdy torso. Given the challenge of hitting its head, you can target the tail instead. Hitting the legs isn't advisable due to their robust protection. For status ailments, you can use everything except Stun and Paralysis, as trying to stun a lightning-element dragon is futile.

Use a Flash Pod

To quickly take down Rey Dau, employ a Flash Pod. This tool will temporarily stun the monster, allowing you to land precise hits. When the dragon unleashes its lightning attack, aim for its horn to inflict significant damage. Activate Focus Mode to spot the horns glowing bright red.

Wear Element-Resistant Gear

If survival is a challenge, equip gear that enhances your resistance to elements. The Hope Armor set, with its Divine Blessing skill, reduces damage and offers resistance to Lightning and Fire. Consider consuming a meal that boosts your elemental resistance as well.
