Several quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 require reaching Kuttenberg before initiation. Once there, inter-region travel opens up. This guide details completing the "Under the Straw Hat" side quest.

Prerequisites: The "In Vino Veritas" Quest

Before tackling "Under the Straw Hat," you must begin "In Vino Veritas." This quest unfolds in Kuttenberg. Upon arrival, locate Casper Rudolf, offering free wine samples on the city's west side. He needs information to enhance his winemaking.

You can either directly impress Havel with wine knowledge or retrieve Casper's book from Adleta, gaining knowledge through reading. If approaching Havel directly, ensure you're clean and well-dressed. Select "Germany," "Steinberger," and "It's missing ginger" as your dialogue choices to obtain crucial information. Return this information to Casper.

Infiltrating the Vineyard

Casper now tasks you with infiltrating the vineyard north of Kuttenberg to investigate the incense Havel mentioned. Avoid trespassing by using the main road. Speak with the recruiter; this initiates the "Under the Straw Hat" quest. Proceed along the road, passing a guard, to find Jerome.

Inform Jerome of your assigned task. He'll provide details about vineyard work.

Vineyard Work and Incense Acquisition

Your work begins the following day. Return to the vineyard in the morning. For payment, move sacks and harvest thistles. Alternatively, focus directly on the secret incense.

The incense is located in the cellar of the main building. Access requires a lockpick or stealing Jerome's keys (remember, unauthorized entry results in punishment).

Locate the chest in the cellar and retrieve the Sulphur Wicks. This completes the primary objective. For an increased reward, collect five seedlings (another act of trespassing, requiring speed). Seedlings are found across the building from the main entrance.

After completing your tasks (or not), report to Jerome for payment (if applicable) or directly to Casper to deliver the wicks and potentially the seedlings.

Completing these steps concludes both "Under the Straw Hat" and "In Vino Veritas." Proceed to other quests, such as "Master Schindel's Toys."
