Captain America: Brave New World surpasses expectations, raking in an estimated $100 million domestically during its Presidents Day weekend debut.

Comscore reports the latest Marvel Studios film grossed approximately $88.5 million across 4,105 theaters over the three-day period, projecting a four-day total of $100 million. Adding its impressive international earnings of $92.4 million, the film's global weekend box office is estimated at $192.4 million.

Deadline reveals a production budget of $180 million, with a break-even point estimated at $425 million globally.

This strong opening places Captain America: Brave New World as the fourth-best Presidents Day debut, trailing behind fellow superhero films: Black Panther ($242 million), Deadpool ($152 million), and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania ($120 million).

Despite mixed critical reception—IGN awarded it a 5/10, citing a lack of innovation and a failure to fully utilize its strong cast—the film's box office success is noteworthy. Its performance will be closely monitored to determine if it can reverse the recent downturn in Marvel Cinematic Universe films (excluding last year's successful Deadpool & Wolverine), and build anticipation for upcoming releases: Thunderbolts in May and The Fantastic Four: First Steps in July.
