Burglars Return to The Sims 4

Ten years of tranquil Sims life comes to an end as burglars return to plague the neighborhood! The Sims 4 developers have announced a highly anticipated (though perhaps not universally welcomed) update in their latest blog post.

Just like in previous games, installing a security system will deter these unwelcome guests. A triggered alarm will summon the police to apprehend the culprit. Skilled Sims can upgrade the system for enhanced reliability and automatic police alerts. Without an alarm system, players can attempt a direct call to the police, hoping for a timely response. Alternatively, a more diplomatic approach involving befriending the burglar might be attempted.

More imaginative solutions exist for those with expansion packs: unleashing the fury of dogs, spellcasters, vampires, or werewolves upon the intruder, or even freezing them solid with a specialized ray. These unconventional methods, however, require owning the relevant expansion packs.
