The Blood of Dawnwalker, new RPG from CD Projekt RED veterans, revealed

Rebel Wolves, a studio established by ex-CD Projekt RED developers, recently unveiled their debut title, The Blood of Dawnwalker, in a comprehensive livestream. The stream featured a captivating four-minute cinematic trailer, serving as the game's opening narrative sequence.

Set in a 14th-century alternate Europe, The Blood of Dawnwalker follows Coen, a young man who acquires supernatural abilities after the events depicted in the trailer. His mission: rescue his loved ones from a vampire threat within a strict 30-day timeframe. While time progresses strategically during gameplay, careful management is crucial.

Coen faces a compelling moral conflict: embrace his humanity or succumb to his vampiric nature. This choice significantly impacts both gameplay and the story's progression. A core mechanic, "Blood Hunger," adds tension; prolonged abstinence from blood risks uncontrollable actions, potentially leading to the accidental death of key characters and unforeseen consequences.

Players will explore richly detailed environments, with dynamic elements influenced by the time of day. The developers describe the open world as a "narrative sandbox," offering extensive player agency.

Currently two years in development using Unreal Engine 5, The Blood of Dawnwalker is slated for release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. A release date is yet to be announced.
