EA Unveils Battlefield Labs: Your Chance to Shape the Future of Battlefield
EA has launched Battlefield Labs, offering fans a unique opportunity to influence the development of the next Battlefield game. This isn't your typical beta; it's a chance to provide direct feedback to the developers.
What is Battlefield Labs?
Battlefield Labs is a program selecting players for early, exclusive access to work-in-progress game builds. Selected participants will engage in remote playtests, providing feedback on various aspects of gameplay, including combat mechanics, map design, and balance. This feedback will directly inform the development of the upcoming title.
Initially, a few thousand players in Europe and North America will be invited, with plans for expansion to other regions and a larger player base. The program will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Battlefield Labs vs. Beta Testing
Unlike traditional betas, Battlefield Labs provides access to unfinished game content. Expect more bugs and technical issues than in a typical beta. EA seeks candid feedback on the game's core mechanics. Participants will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and cannot publicly share information about their experience.
How to Join Battlefield Labs and Get Early Access
EA's fiscal year 2026 (FY26) launch window suggests the next Battlefield game will arrive before April 1, 2026.
