Although the 20th Anniversary event in World of Warcraft has concluded, the game continues to offer exciting events to keep players engaged as we eagerly await Patch 11.1 later this year. One such event, the Turbulent Timeways, originally introduced during a content lull in Dragonflight, has made a thrilling return. This event presents a unique challenge and an exclusive reward for those who can accumulate the Mastery of Timeways buff multiple times.

Turbulent Timeways Event Explained

Unlike the typical spread-out Timewalking events, Turbulent Timeways features a marathon of five consecutive Timewalking events from January 1 to February 25. Each week will highlight a different expansion's set of Timewalking dungeons, following this schedule:

• Week 1: Mists of Pandaria (1/07 to 1/14)
• Week 2: Warlords of Draenor (1/14 to 1/21)
• Week 3: Legion (1/21 to 1/28)
• Week 4: Classic (1/28 to 2/04)
• Week 5: The Burning Crusade (2/04 to 2/11)
• Week 6: Wrath of the Lich King (2/11 to 2/18)
• Week 7: Cataclysm (2/18 to 2/25)

Completing a Timewalking Dungeon grants you a stack of the Knowledge of Timeways buff. This buff persists for two hours, remains active even if you die, and boosts your experience gains from monster kills and quest completions by five percent. Accumulating four stacks of this buff transforms it into the Mastery of Timeways buff. This upgraded buff lasts for three hours and amplifies your experience gain by 30%. Both buffs refresh their timers upon completing additional Timewalking Dungeons.

To earn the Mastery of Timeways buff, you need to accumulate four stacks of Knowledge of Timeways before the buff expires. It's crucial to stay active and avoid long AFK periods, as letting the Knowledge of Timeways buff expire means starting over from scratch.

Turbulent Timeways Rewards

Beyond the experience boost ideal for leveling alts, the Turbulent Timeways event offers enticing rewards. You can purchase the Sandy Shalewing mount from Timewalking Vendors using 5,000 Timewarped Badges. This mount was a highlight of the previous Turbulent Timeways event during Dragonflight.

Additionally, a new mount, the Timely Buzzbee, is up for grabs. To claim this mount, you must achieve the Mastery of Timeways buff in five out of the seven weeks that the event runs.
