When asked if the availability of Wind Waker on Nintendo Switch Online would prevent a Switch 2 port of the Wii U's Wind Waker HD, Bihldorff quickly responded, "No, all options are on the table." This statement keeps the door open for fans hoping to see the HD version on the Switch 2.

Originally launched on the GameCube in 2002 in Japan and 2003 in the West, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker was later enhanced and released as Wind Waker HD on the Wii U in 2013.
