Wuthering Waves version 2.0's Rinascita region introduces challenging new Tacet Discords, including the formidable Lifer – a top-hat-wearing eyeball boss found within Oakheart Highcourt's maze. This guide details how to overcome this unique Chop Chop variant.
The Lifer resides at the maze's heart in Oakheart Highcourt, beneath a giant tree. An accessible entrance is on the southwest side, near the Resonance Beacon. Climb the walls or use the Flight function to reach it.
Inside, you'll find the Lifer and a six-piece board game. Control the black pieces to connect three in a row before the Lifer (white pieces) does. Placing a black piece on the outer circle opens walls and gates in that direction. You can exit and resume the game at any time. While optional, the board game is crucial for debuffing the Lifer. Winning before debuffing is strongly discouraged as it immediately triggers combat.
The Lifer boasts seven buffs; four are removable using Stakes of Imbalance, while three are permanent. A glowing yellow module behind the Lifer displays these buffs.
Removable Buffs (Fragility):
Permanent Buffs (Stability):
Use the Sensor near the Lifer to locate four purple lines leading to Stakes of Imbalance in four outer maze rooms. Manipulate the board game to open the gates to these rooms. Each room contains a winged statue and a Stake of Imbalance (marked with a white glow). Some rooms require defeating Tacet Discords or breaking Friable Rocks. Place each Stake in the corresponding module to remove a buff. The purple line will turn yellow once a buff is removed.
After removing all four removable buffs, engage the Lifer (either through the board game or by selecting "Fight it out!"). The debuffed Lifer is significantly weaker, posing little threat.
First victory rewards a Premium Supply Chest. Second victory adds another Premium Supply Chest and three Basic Supply Chests. Third victory grants an Advanced Supply Chest and three Standard Supply Chests. You can re-enable buffs for a harder fight, though no achievements are tied to this.
Complete these achievements for additional rewards:
For the board game, focus on preventing the Lifer from creating lines. It will eventually make a mistake.
