If you're a fan of video games and looking to pick up some cool replicas or figurines while traveling, it's important to be cautious about what you pack, especially if it resembles a weapon from games like Call of Duty. A recent post by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) highlighted a replica figurine of the Monkey Bomb from Call of Duty's Zombies mode that was found in a checked bag at Boston Logan International Airport.

The Monkey Bomb, also known as the Cymbal Monkey, has been featured in various Call of Duty games, from World at War to Black Ops 6. This particular figurine is designed as a controller holder, with its hands outstretched to support your game controller. However, its appearance, complete with dynamite and cables, can easily be mistaken for a weapon.

"This monkey may rack up points in a game, but in real life, leave the gear for your loadout screen, not your baggage," the TSA's post advised. They emphasized that replica weapons and explosives, no matter how collectible or appealing, are not allowed in either carry-on or checked baggage.

PlayThe TSA's website provides detailed information about prohibited toy weapons, which include "squirt guns, Nerf guns, toy swords, or other items that resemble realistic firearms or weapons." This highlights the quality of the Monkey Bomb replica, which is so realistic it can cause security concerns.

It's crucial to be aware of these regulations if you're planning to attend a convention or visit a place where you might purchase game-themed merchandise. Whether it's a Monkey Bomb figurine or a set of Naruto-themed throwing knives, the TSA prohibits any item in checked or carry-on baggage if it poses a potential security threat, even if it's just a replica.
