Techland Expands Dying Light 2 with Free Tower Raid Roguelite Mode

Dying Light 2's thrilling new Tower Raid mode is finally here! This roguelite-inspired addition offers unpredictable gameplay and intense survival challenges, significantly expanding the game's replayability. Following extensive testing, Tower Raid introduces a fresh perspective on the infected world.

Players won't control Aiden Caldwell in this mode. Instead, they'll choose from four unique warrior classes – Tank, Brawler, Ranger, and Specialist – each with distinct abilities encouraging diverse strategies and collaborative play. For a truly demanding experience, players can even tackle the tower solo or with a reduced team.

The mode boasts three difficulty settings: Quick, Normal, and Elite, impacting run length and intensity. Procedurally generated levels ensure each playthrough is unique, with constantly shifting layouts and enemy encounters. Adaptability is paramount.

Techland has implemented a rewarding progression system. Every failed attempt unlocks new abilities and weapons, steadily increasing chances of success on subsequent runs. A mysterious merchant, Sola, awaits within the tower, offering rare rewards like the Office Day Outfit, Kuai Dagger, and Silenced Pistol to those who prove their mettle.

Even with the upcoming release of Dying Light: The Beast, Techland is dedicated to enhancing Dying Light 2 throughout 2025. Future updates promise improved co-op, refined matchmaking, enhanced community map integration, additional Tower Raid characters, new melee and ranged weapons, a new weapon class, prologue enhancements, and significant graphical and technical improvements.
